pH Correction System Minimizes Chemical Consumption
August 6, 2014 — A major North American steel manufacturer needed a pH correction system to neutralize alternating acid and caustic streams generated by the de-ionization plant. JNE Environmental designed and supplied a large batch system that allowed this client to take advantage of the alternating caustic waste and acid, to minimize chemical consumption.
The unit was supplied complete with skid mounted dosing pumps, a fifteen thousand gallon agitated tank, flow and pH instrumentation, along with an automation system from JNE Automation. The system achieved very tight pH tolerances, and uses the absolute minimum of chemicals, due to the batch configuration.
