Pilot Plant Produces Excellent Wastewater Treatment at Local Beef Abattoir
April 10, 2017 — JNE Environmental’s pilot plant is a fully self-contained Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) based wastewater treatment system capable of treating wastewater between 5 and 15 gallons per minute (gpm), depending on incoming conditions. We were recently contracted to install a pilot plant at a beef abattoir to evaluate the treatment effectiveness as well as projected overall operating costs by treating actual wastewater streams generated from the plant.
The pilot plant treated an incoming flow rate of 8 gpm and achieved the following removal results:
• 96% removal FOG (Fats, Oils and Greases)
• 64% removal BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand)
• 96 % removal Total P (Total Phosphorous)
• 97 % removal of TSS (Total Suspended Solids)
The tremendous performance of JNE Environmental’s pilot plant confirmed to the client that a DAF based system is the most cost effective solution for their facility, reaffirming their confidence in investment.
If you have a wastewater stream that you don’t know how to treat, or if you are considering the purchase of a DAF based treatment system and would like to validate its performance, contact JNE Environmental today for a free consultation.
