APRIL 9, 2018 — The FIRST Robotics Canada District Competition is one of the country’s top science, technology, and engineering competitions for high-school students. The JNE Group of Companies was proud to attend the event at McMaster University for the second year in a row, once again sponsoring the student’s Preparation Pit.

An intense exercise in engineering and problem solving, the general goal of the competition is to pit teams of high school students in a qualifying match to design and build robots to accomplish specific tasks. This year’s event, estimated to have been attended by over 1,000 people, saw students racing to coordinate their machines to transport, lift, and deposit blocks to accumulate points.

The event was enjoyed by students, volunteers, parents, and sponsors alike. JNE looks forward to once again sponsoring the competition in the coming years!
