In November 2019, JNE will be presenting at AU Las Vegas — Autodesk’s premiere North American conference. JNE’s presentation, an instructional demo on 3D multi-disciplinary plant engineering, was selected from over 2,400 applications. This is a tremendous opportunity for JNE to share our knowledge of 3D software and applications on a world-class stage.
JNE Environmental has a lot of history and experience with fluoride removal techniques from wastewater in the automotive sector; however, the wastewater from this particular client is unique in that their wastewater stream is actually ultrapure water. Ultrapure water poses a challenge because, at this purity, the water behaves like a solvent making it difficult to remove targeted impurities, such as fluoride.
JNE Environmental has designed and is currently manufacturing a 40 m3/hr dual Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) wastewater treatment system for a European plastic recycling company that is building a new facility in Canada. This plastic recycling process represents a unique and significant impact to the environment and JNE is proud to play a role in the process. This project is the largest project in JNE Environmental’s history and is commissioning in late 2019.

From new grads to seasoned professionals, the event is a great opportunity to connect and network with local talent. Our team at JNE set out to raise awareness about some of the biggest health issues faced by men, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention by growing our moustaches throughout the month of November. Through this initiative we have learned more about each other, sharing stories and experiences, and we are stronger for it.
The McMaster Engineering Competition (MEC) is a two day competition that gives undergraduate students from McMaster University a chance to demonstrate engineering skills in a competitive environment, as well as receive the professional counsel of mentors from a variety of companies. In addition to sponsoring the event, two JNE team members participated on the judging panels of the Consulting and Re-Engineering categories.
JNE Consulting celebrated a new milestone earlier this month with the grand opening of a multi-discipline engineering office in Livonia, Michigan. The grand opening was a great opportunity to formally introduce our new local team members to clients in the area, establishing new connections while celebrating our existing client relationships.
A unique advantage of working with The JNE Group of Companies is the close collaboration between our engineering and construction teams. This project, a JNE Consulting and Triple Crown Enterprises (TCE) joint effort, sees these teams working together to complete the design and construction of massive equipment foundations for a steel plant, including excavation, shoring, piling, and concrete work.
