JNE reaches annual Movember fundraising target
With this year’s fundraising total, JNE has raised over $25,000 towards men's health awareness since the team’s formation in 2018. We are extremely grateful to everyone who supported our efforts this year and helped us contribute towards a global mission of reducing men's mortality rate by 25 per cent by 2030. We are proud to support the Movember Foundation and look forward to future fundraising efforts.
Pilot Plant Produces Excellent Wastewater Treatment at Local Beef Abattoir
JNE installed a pilot plant at a beef abattoir to evaluate the treatment effectiveness and projected operating costs by treating actual wastewater streams generated from the plant. The tremendous performance of the pilot plant confirmed to the client that a DAF based system is the most cost effective solution for their facility.
Cost-Effective Polymer Make Down and Preparation Unit
JNE Environmental has developed a very cost effective dry polymer make down and preparation unit. This system is fully automatic and can prepare 1,000 litres of properly mixed and aged polymer every 2.5 hours with an accuracy of +/- 0.0002% by weight.
New Coagulant Maximizes DAF Performance and Reduces Waste Removal Costs
At the forefront of wastewater treatment technology, JNE Environmental is continuously developing new products and chemistries to help treat our customers’ wastewater. A prime example of this is the newly developed JNE 2890 coagulant. JNE 2890 has been specifically engineered to increase efficiency and reduce the overall cost of Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) based systems.
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Unit and Stripper Tower Delivery to Laundry Company
Due to the potential for foaming caused by the presence of soap, coupled with the requirement for foaming tolerance, a packed column stripper was selected for the separation process. An FS-120 Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit was chosen to remove the TSS and FOG, as well as to reduce the Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD). The DAF, in conjunction with our engineered chemical solutions JNE 281 (coagulant) and JNE 3003 (flocculant), showed excellent results.
Overcoming Obstacles to Treat Ultrapure Water in Automotive Manufacturing
JNE Environmental has a lot of history and experience with fluoride removal techniques from wastewater in the automotive sector; however, the wastewater from this particular client is unique in that their wastewater stream is actually ultrapure water. Ultrapure water poses a challenge because, at this purity, the water behaves like a solvent making it difficult to remove targeted impurities, such as fluoride.
Dual DAF Wastewater Treatment System for a European Plastic Recycling Company’s New Facility
JNE Environmental has designed and is currently manufacturing a 40 m3/hr dual Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) wastewater treatment system for a European plastic recycling company that is building a new facility in Canada. This plastic recycling process represents a unique and significant impact to the environment and JNE is proud to play a role in the process. This project is the largest project in JNE Environmental’s history and is commissioning in late 2019.

The JNE Group participated in the annual Connect to Careers job fair at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. From new grads to seasoned professionals, the event is a great opportunity to connect and network with local talent. Representatives from JNE and TCE groups and engineering disciplines were on-hand to educate thousands of attendees about The JNE Group's services, culture, and potential career opportunities.
