Summary
JNE Consulting has completed many classifications for flammable gas and liquid applications, explosive dust atmospheres, and hybrid (flammable gas/liquid and dust) applications.
Our Hazardous Area Classification services provide comprehensive assessments and guidance to help you navigate the complexities of hazardous environments. We assist you in identifying and categorizing areas within your facility that may contain potential explosion or fire hazards.
Our experienced team of specialists conducts thorough evaluations of your site, considering factors such as the presence of flammable gases, liquids, or dust. We then classify these areas according to internationally recognized standards and guidelines, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Normally required and tied into PHSR/PSR/PSHSR Triggers 1, 4, 5 and 6, hazardous area classifications are also specified as a Regulatory Compliance Requirement in the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and referenced in the Ontario Fire Code.
JNE’s services also include the development of detailed reports and plans, specifying the appropriate equipment, controls, and safeguards needed to minimize risks and ensure worker safety. Our goal is to provide you with practical and effective recommendations that enable you to create a secure work environment.
