Understanding Arc Flash Electrical Hazards
Arc flashes, one of the most disastrous and least understood electrical hazards in the workplace, are usually caused by inadvertent contact between an energized conductor with another energized conductor or a grounded surface. DAF unit replacement supports major plant expansion
A local waste oil recycling plant has recently purchased another FS-30 to replace an existing DAF unit to support a major plant expansion. Prior to this purchase they used a JNE Environmental FS-30 DAF to pre-treat their wastewater through the use of JNE 3111C dewatering polymer, and then through the use of JNE 709 and JNE 3003 to produce a flocculated wastewater.
Engineering Wall of Fame Inducts Joe Ng
Joe Ng, the man behind the multi-continent, multi-industry JNE Group of Companies officially inducted into UNB's Engineering Wall of Fame. In 1968, Dr. Ng arrived in Canada to study electrical engineering, spending his first two years at the University of Prince Edward Island and then transferring to UNB to complete his engineering degree.
Ontario award for immigrant employment
Ontario is recognizing the first ever recipients of the Ontario Award for Leadership in Immigrant Employment, for their role in championing diversity and supporting jobs in their communities. Five outstanding recipients from across the province were honoured during a ceremony at the 2013 Ontario Economic Summit in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Honorary Doctor of Science Degree — UNB
Joseph Ng, Chair of the JNE Group of Companies, proudly received an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree from the University of New Brunswick. Joe had previously graduated from the University with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1973. He was honoured to receive this most recent Degree in the presence of its current graduating class along with his family. Congratulations Joe!
New solidifying agents convert toxic waste to recyclable material
When applied to a facility’s toxic liquid stream, the nickel is absorbed into the agents’ stabilizing matrix, and the water is absorbed into the polymer. The resulting solution, a gelatinous solid, can be safely and cost-effectively recycled, leading to an estimated 400% cost-savings to the client.
Excellent Caster and Hot Mill Descaling Wastewater Treatment
High pressure descale sprays are critical to the proper performance of continuous casters, roughing mills, and hot mills. These systems run at very high volumes (over 150,000 litres per minute) and very high pressures (3,000 psi). Containerized pH Neutralization System Saves the Plants and Keeps Costs Down
JNE Environmental was contacted by a grower in Ontario experiencing major issues with the facility’s wastewater stream pH.  The nature of their production lead to low pH discharge water to the City’s sanitary sewer system resulting in several fines. The Company was facing future letters of non-compliance.
