McMaster University Honours Joe Ng
Joseph Ng, President of Hamilton-based JNE Consulting Limited and Michael Pley, President of Cambridge-based COM DEV Space and a McMaster Engineering alumnus, were recognized for their contributions to engineering, the community and McMaster University at the third annual Applause and Accolades Awards Gala on May 3.

Joe Ng is awarded the Golden Jubilee Medal
Minister of Canadian Heritage Sheila Copps today presided over the award ceremony for the Commemorative Medal for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee. Forty-two residents of Hamilton and Burlington, including Mr. Joe Ng, were honoured by the Minister of Canadian Heritage.
Commissioning a Standardized Treatment System at Organic Waste Processing Plant
Most restaurants and factories have grease traps and interceptors, sump pits, and sludge waste holding tanks. These traps and tanks are emptied and cleaned out on a regular basis by vacuum trucks that offload at a central processing plant. JNE Environmental supplied equipment and chemicals to create a standardized treatment system at a series of these plants.
Processing Stoppage at Soil Remediation Facility is Averted
JNE Environmental was contacted late one evening by a major environmental remediation company due to a processing failure that was resulted in the inability to discharge water. We provided two technical experts for after-hours emergency support within 1 hour to review the situation and develop a treatment strategy to address the unacceptable performance.
Cutting Costs on Cutting and Drilling Fluids Disposal
Cutting and drilling fluids contain a variety of oils and emulsifiers that make wastewater difficult to treat once the fluid is no longer usable. As a result, fluids are often disposed of as hazardous waste, incurring high operating costs to your company. JNE Environmental has developed a process that allows you to treat this wastewater at your own plant, leading to significant cost savings.
