Introducing the JNE Experiential Learning Fund at McMaster University
This is an initiative to provide students within the Introduction to Civil Engineering course the opportunity to engage in hands-on, real-world learning experiences. This announcement coincides with the 25th anniversary of JNE's establishment of the Endowed Chair in Civil Engineering at McMaster's Faculty of Engineering.
Cheesy Wastewater Treatment
JNE Environmental was recently approached to investigate performance issues with a Southern Ontario cheese manufacturer’s wastewater pH correction system. Their existing system was not adequately meeting sewer discharge limits and thus a more capable system was required to achieve compliance.
Control System Testing and Quality Assurance
Are you facing pressure to get a process back up and running within a strict shutdown window? Our specialists have developed standard testing, simulation, and onsite practices that can reduce the risk of delayed start-up and minimize effects on your production schedule.
Deep-Fried Wastewater Treatment
A potato chip manufacturer in the Toronto area approached JNE Environmental to tackle a problem with their oily wastewater. The wastewater from their production lines was packed with starches, fats, oil, and grease; all emulsified with cleaners. This creates a particularly difficult concoction for treatment systems to treat the wastewater to sewer compliance.
